Girl’s College Commitment Scout Grades Chapter 51

Some will be happy, others might be pissed off and eager to prove me wrong.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments are not official until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is performing and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reels easy to access for scouts to evaluate on their social media platforms. Tucakovic is a very talented young goalkeeper with a lot of upside. The Trojans have had a disappointing season by their standards sitting at .500 and probably out of contention for an at large NCAA Tournament bid after losing to Northwestern in the Big 10 tournament. The top 5 goalie in California in the 2027 class will probably have to sit her first couple of seasons like most goalkeepers do and will be ready to make an impact as she transitions into being an upperclassmen. She has excellent club pedigree playing for Solar and headed to the tie queens of college soccer with a 7-3-9 record this season headed to the Southland Conference Tournament next week which they will have to win to qualify for the postseason. Nassiff is the #2 ranked shot-stopper in the state of Massachusetts. She has been at Gotham FC talent ID centers and certainly looks the part of a Division 1 goalkeeper as she is not only tall but very long as well. She is headed to a program who just had a brutal end to their season in double overtime loss on PK's in the first round of the Patriot League tournament. Carlson's resume suggests that this is a playing time decision as I think she will be one of, if not the best player on this team the second she steps on campus. The Peacock's did not have a great season ending the year with a 4-12-2 record. The Rockford Raptors Midfielder is a super athletic, tall, physical and two-footed player who has all the intangibles to be a big time success at the Division 1 level. I really like what the Cowgirls are doing in recruitment this year. They have a had a respectable .500 season and continue to find gems like Sacek to commit. The Seattle United Midfield/Defense combo player is a hustler showing off a high competitive motor on film. She looks like she would rather die than lose a duel. She also takes space really well on the dribble which the Ducks seem to look for in their deeper lying players. The Tophat star will be plying her trade in the ACC with the best players in college soccer. She has all the talent to be considered for playing time as soon as she arrives on campus. The Cavaliers have had another dominant season sitting at 12-2-4 and on their way to the Semi-Finals of the ACC tournament after a narrow win against Florida State on penalty kicks yesterday evening. She is from the state and the only thing I could find on her was that she was a first-team all state selection during her sophomore year which is quite impressive. The Jacks have had quite the season thus far at 11-2-6 and heading into a Summit League Tournament Semi-Final showdown with Denver on Thursday. They will need to win the tournament to ensure NCAA Tournament qualification.
