Ramirez was with the GFI team that advanced all the way to the semifinals of the tournament's U15 division. He had a solid performance in the team's 6-0 win over SPSA 2011 Red Elite Boys in their group phase debut. Playing as a left wingback, he had plenty of freedom to push forward, and did a good job of supporting the team's offense. Ramirez showed good vision to feed the forward with direct passes out wide and through balls behind the backline. He also did well when coming inside to operate more centrally and creating space for the winger to make plays on the flank. With his team vastly dominating possession, Ramirez was mostly asked to play defense in transition and responded well, appearing with well-timed tackles.

Michel and his [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] Red ECNL team played in the U17 Division championship game, but finished second. A new face with the team, he started at right back in a 2-0 win over Strikers Miami FC 2009 Elite Rios in the group phase and offered strong contributions on both sides of the ball. Michel did a good job of constantly being an option on the right side of the team's attack and delivered good passes and accurate crosses when in the final third. His defensive game was also very efficient, as he was excellent at anticipating passes and keeping opponents under pressure when defending higher, and also did well when he had to perform tackles or clearances inside the box.

Hooey and his Solar SC Academy ECNL B11 team couldn't make it past the group phase in the U15 Division. I got to watch their first match in the event, and he had a solid performance at right wingback as Solar tied Mexico's Angeles Soccer Elite 11X in the group phase. Hooey was always alert defensively, doing a good job of getting to second balls and controlling his zone of the field with high energy. He also did well on the ball, making some nice runs on the ball into the attacking half and playing direct passes down the line for his teammates.

Olu was part of the [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] Academy team that triumphed in the U17 Division. The left back was one of the standouts in the first match of their campaign, a 1-0 win over North Toronto Nitros B2009 OPDL in the group phase, delivering solid two-way production. Olu had no trouble dominating opponents that went into his zone, using his physical tools and athleticism to cover ground and win duels. He also demonstrated impressive quality going forward and was an interesting attacking option down the left. Olu engaged in good combination plays out wide and helped create chances with accurate crosses and well-weighted passes behind the backline.
