High-Impact Midfielders at Aggieland Friendship Cup

Her presence as a defensive midfielder contributed to the team's defensive solidity, as she was great at covering ground and shielding the backline. Eaton also made an impact on the ball, controlling the pace of the game with her intelligent distribution. She was one of the team's midfield pillars, delivering solid production in her box-to-box role. Hutchinson's high soccer IQ made her defensive game extremely efficient, as she knew exactly when to step up and press higher or to keep her position and overload the center of the field. She was one of her team's standouts against Lonestar Red, combining intensity and confidence to make plays in the center of the field. While Rise struggled to build out of the back and insisted on playing long, she tried to keep the ball on the ground and deliver it to the forwards in better conditions. She delivered a lot in her box-to-box role, showing great effort on defense and quality and intelligence on the ball. Harden embraced the task of leading her team's playmaking and was very active with that, moving very well to look for the ball and be an option. Her high-intensity game provided the platform for her team's playing system to succeed, as she was very engaged on both sides of the ball. Michno won the ball numerous times in the center of the field and also did well when she stepped up to press higher. She was a key piece in their playing system with her ability to provide intensity on both sides of the ball. Rugerio is very skilled with the ball at her feet, makes quick decisions very efficiently, and consistently looks to unlock opposing backlines with direct passes to the forwards.
