Three Houston Dynamo Players to Watch in the MLS Next Season

Despite being younger than most of his teammates and opponents, his game is extremely composed and mature, bringing a great deal of stability to the team's backline at the center back position. Skillern is extremely athletic and uses his big frame and solid mobility to dominate opponents, but he also thrives on his defensive instincts, which help him make the right decisions under pressure and come up with well-timed tackles. The left back had a breakout campaign in 2025-2026, making it to the US national team, and could be poised for more over the next few months. Alvarez is an offensive-minded wide player who can move very quickly when in possession and is a talented dribbler, beating opponents in tight spaces as he progresses. A striker who combines great mobility and offensive instincts, he's been highly productive over the last two seasons, bagging many goals for the team. Starting or coming off the bench, Walsh brings great energy and relentless work on both sides of the ball up top, keeping opponents under pressure with his constant runs and being very active and engaged with his press.
