Both VDA and Colgan place an emphasis on building chances through the spine of the team, giving Winger extra responsibilities. She has thrived under the pressure pushing VDA to the top of the ECNL Standings and making Colgan one of the top High School programs in Virginia. Her field vision is very strong and she is able to make not just accurate passes, but ones that are low risk. The junior centerback was named to the ECNL Mid-Atlantic All-Conference team last season in part due to her expert tackling and her leadership along the backline. She does an exceptional at coordinating with her teammates in marking attackers and clearing dangerous balls out of play. She is also a real threat on set pieces not just with headers and volleys, but also finding teammates inside the box. The 2021 United Soccer Coaches Youth All-American is excellent leading the attack and transitioning her side from a defensive posture. She can deliver precise passes to the outside as well as long crosses into the box. She also has a powerful right foot, allowing her to take difficult shots from distance. VDA has won the Mid-Atlantic Conference four years in a row, including finishing second in the National Finals in 2019 and are looking primed for another deep run this season.
