Also, please check out our National Signing Day coverage which featured a large number of players from across the DMV. We are going to focus more on some of the players who have announced since then.
Aidan Wright
Aidan Wright
Wright has committed to playing college soccer next season at Colgate University. The Oakdale captain is really a jack of all trades as he can play center midfield, forward, and also center-back. He certainly has a knack for finding the back of the net; he scored eight goals for the Bears in Central Maryland Conference play. He seems incredibly comfortable with the ball at his feet and dictating the pace of the match, an indication that perhaps his destiny may lie in the center of the midfield. His leadership skills are also exceptional, having led Alliance Soccer Club, a club that mostly does recreational soccer, through EDP play and the 2021 Disney Showcase. Wright is also a member of the Maryland Olympic Development Program.

Akhtarzandi-Das has committed to playing college soccer next season at Tufts University. The Jumbos through the years have had a ton of success at recruiting top level players from MLS Next and previously the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, as evidenced by their four NCAA Division II titles. They may have made another big step towards title number five with Akhtarzandi-Das, who has had a strong season with SYC in MLSNext play. As a defensive midfielder, he is excellent at reading attacks and breaking down their passes. At 6’0″ he has also shown a willingness to go up for crosses and making timely clears. Prior to playing with SYC, he played club soccer at Arlington where he led the side to USYS East Regional Championships.
Kameron Ross
Kameron Ross
Ross has committed to playing college soccer next season at Stevenson University. A speedy, midfielder that is comfortable delivering crosses with both feet, Ross has been instrumental in Maryland United’s strong play through National League play. On the attack, he is excellent at finding spaces in between defenders and exploiting it. He can either deliver a simple shot off of the volley or making the jump to head home a goal.
Tommy Pavel
Tommy Pavel
Pavel has committed to playing college soccer next season at Stevenson University. A tough, strong defender that is an expert at boxing out attackers, Pavel has become one of the defenders in the state of Maryland for both his club side Maryland United and for his high school Leonardtown. His defensive style is interesting because he also plays lacrosse and the runs that he makes to stop attackers are less diagonal and more of an arc. Throwing attackers that curveball has certainly helped both of his teams and will make him a valuable asset at Stevenson.
Gabe Glikin
Gabe Glikin
Glikin has committed to playing college soccer next season at Salisbury University. The captain for both his high school side at Calvert Hall (one of the top ranked high schools in the country) and for his club team at Baltimore Armour (he led the side to the 2019 Dallas Cup title), Glikin is a proven leader that is excellent at organizing defensive backlines. Both Armour and Calvert Hall are very disciplined on the backline, focusing on possession and building out of the back. Glikin’s calm under pressure and ability to always find that next open target makes him a very strong pickup for the Sea Gulls.

Rabush has committed to playing college soccer next season at the College of William and Mary. The 6’0″ defender was instrumental in Maryland United’s deep run in the ECNL last season, earning Mid-Atlantic All-Conference Honors. He is a strong defender that can take force attackers out of dangerous positions but is also very technically proficient, making decisive clears and timely tackles. Leonardtown has had a strong run through Southern Maryland Athletic Conference play thanks in part to the defensive work that Rabush and Pavel have played along the backline.
