Prep Soccer will be following the action and constantly providing match reports on some of the most exciting duels and highlighting the players that are standing out for their teams. We’ll also be presenting some of the most promising teams that we get to watch live so you know them a little bit better.
Fort Bend Clements Lady Rangers
The Fort Bend Clements Lady Rangers from Sugar Land are one of the teams of the UIL Division 6A – Region, District 20. The team has advanced to the postseason in four of the last five seasons and has made the trip to the State Tournament twice, the last of which in 2004-2005. This season should be a promising one for the Lady Rangers, who saw some talented freshmen join their squad.

Sonali Aras Sonali Aras D Clements | 2026 TX
A freshman, Aras was an important addition for the Lady Rangers this season. She was immediately inserted in the center of the team’s backline and has been doing an excellent job there, providing some defensive stability for Clements. She has great positioning and cuts corners to intercept plays in the middle and when covering the fullbacks. Aras is also solid in the air, winning most of the duels she’s involved with. She has a lot of power in he right foot and is the team’s primary option to take set pieces and corner kicks.
Makena Maina
Makena Maina
One of the seniors in the team, Maina offers a good level of versatility at the fullback position. She’s primarily used in the right, but can play in the left as well. The fullback plays with a lot of energy and is extremely efficient and reliable with her defensive game, closing the space on her side and stopping plays. When in possession, Maina is pretty intelligent and efficient, often connecting simple but smart passes to help the team build out of the back.
Jocelyn Kianka
Jocelyn Kianka
Another freshman, Kianka is the centerpiece of Clements’ offensive system. Very creative and skilled, she centralizes the team’s attacking efforts and is capable of creating plays in a variety of ways. Kianka is great at finding spaces to operate and has great vision. Besides connecting passes, she can also dribble the ball forward on her own. The midfielder is very good in the air too, providing a good target when the Lady Rangers want to play long out of the back. She’s very good with her movement off-the-ball and her finishing too, often leading the team’s scoring.
Jayna Patel
Jayna Patel
Patel does a very good of stretching the field for the Lady Rangers. Because of her pace, the midfielder often requires special attention from opposing defenders, creating space for her teammates in the middle. Patel is capable of playing on either side and has good pace and dribbling ability. She’s very aggressive in possession as well and always try to make plays when she gets the ball.
Chloe Le
Chloe Le
Clements’ most advanced player on the field, Le is heavily involved with the team’s offensive efforts. She moves around the attacking third extremely well and can create chances in a variety of different ways. The forward is very mobile and is great at finding spaces to get on the ball. When in possession, she likes to bring the ball inside, toward the penalty box, and can do that on her own, dribbling it, or by combining with her teammates. Le finishes from distance very well and is a true team player, who’s always looking to feed her teammates.
