Brown will be with the Classics Elite G08 team that will be faced with Arlington Soccer, Indy Eleven Pro Academy and NCFC Youth in the U17 division. Brown was with the Classics Elite team that went undefeated over the weekend, producing two wins and a tie. I got to follow their most competitive game, a 1-1 tie with Oregon Surf on Monday, and she responded very well when called to action. She produced two clean sheets over the weekend and also had a strong display in their last match. Despite not being very tall, Brown is very athletic and made multiple saves in the upper corners, using her positioning and explosiveness to get to the ball. She also used her feet well and led the backline with consistent communication.

Brown was one of the standouts in Classics Elite’s tight victory over Sporting Iowa, getting her first clean sheet in three matches. The goalkeeper was very agile between the posts and made some athletic saves to keep the ball out of the goal. She was also very quick to come off her line and take up space from opposing attackers when managed to break into their defense. Brown was particularly important at the start of the second half, when Sporting pushed hard for an equalizer and she stopped them multiple times in just a few minutes.
