This weekend will be an uncharacteristic slow one in the Texas Conference of the ECNL Girls League as matches scheduled to take place in Colorado were canceled due to weather conditions, but some promising teams will still be in action in Texas and Oklahoma and here are three of them:
Sting Dallas Black G06/05
The side from Dallas returns home after five straight road games and will try to build on the momentum created by their 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids last Sunday. Sting, who have three wins, three losses and one tie so far in the season, will face crosstown rivals Dallas Texans on Sunday. Their starting goalkeeper, Savanah Finley Savanah Finley GK TX is capable of making big-time saves and she gets good protection from physical center backs Taylor Yablonski Taylor Yablonski D Laurel Springs | 2025 State TX and Alyson Guthrie Alyson Guthrie M TX . The side from Tulsa will have a big weekend, facing in-state rivals OK Energy FC on the road on Saturday. Tulsa have been in excellent form in the division, having secured seven wins, two losses and one tie and are undefeated in their last five matches entering this weekend’s encounter. Tulsa have a pair of talented keepers in Jaylyn Hammond Jaylyn Hammond GK OK and Anika Patton and outside backs Madelynn Goss Madelynn Goss D OK and Landry Turner are both very skilled on both sides of the ball. Classics Elite are still looking to find their best form in the season as they currently have two wins, seven losses and one tie, but had promising performances last weekend, beating Dallas Texans and going down 2-1 to a strong FC Dallas team. They typically have Addison Brown Addison Brown GK TX between the posts and she’s a solid goalkeeper.
