What a season so far from the University of San Francisco commit. She has scored an incredible 56 goals in 15 games played for her Lincoln Fighting Zebras side (best mascot I’ve come across by the way). With 7 assists to add to her 63 total goal contribution numbers. She is leading the entire state in scoring and is ranked 5th in the nation. She has two great feet and creates space on the dribble inside the box masterfully in creating shots. She is a classy finisher who can find the corners really well when she’s close to goal. I’d say if the season ended today Ms. Osegueda would be my vote to win the California Gatorade Player of the Year. To earn the award she will need to have success in the postseason.

The Lincoln Striker has put together a fantastic start to her senior season. With 20 goals so far this season she has a chance to set school records. If the USF commit keeps up her production she could have a chance to win this award.

Osegueda was everywhere against De Anza and scored two goals in her teams 4-0 win against De Anza. She was very dangerous and shifty getting onto through balls in wide areas using her pace.

Osgueda is another player who is in the middle of a stellar campaign at the high school level. The forward has been a bright spot for her club team, Davis Legacy ECNL 07, and carried over that form to the school level. She is skillful and a terrific finisher. She is capable of taking players on with either foot. Her best attribute is her pressing as she created a number of chances with her work while defending. She is very good when shielding a defender off the ball and then facing the defense with the ball at her feet. She can create chances and finish with the same efficiency, which is a rare trait for a center forward.
