The center back will look to keep the Internationals’ backline steady this showcase. The defender is great at distributing from the back, often from distance, which keeps opponents guessing where she will play next. At times, the center back uses that same long‑range accuracy to find the net when given space. Consequently, she will be one to watch this showcase, with her range and decision‑making likely to be noticed throughout the event.

Internationals were bounced in the second round of the North America Cup after a penalty kick shootout. Boardman still impressed. She played as the right center back, but she was different than other center backs. She hit a 40-yard shot on frame in the game against South Carolina in the consolation round. It was an intentional effort too.
Boardman is happy to take players on off the dribble. She thrives in the challenge. She’s an elite prospect for her position and showed all the qualities that make her great in San Diego.
Addyson Paulozzi and Quinn Luecke were also stars for Internationals.

Strong. Versatile
Boardman is listed as a defender, midfielder, and forward on her player profile for her high school team. It’s easy to see how the Internationals 2010 ECNL standout could play any role on the field. Boardman looked really good at outside back during the ECNL playoffs last season. She’s physical in the tackle, great at anticipating where to be to support her teammates, and does well with her passing. She’s also excellent in aerial duels. Boardman has a high ceiling thanks to that versatility and fearless attitude in competition.
