Egan has wonderful instincts, fantastic body control and excellent technical skills. She knows when to step to the ball, and when she wins the ball she can play a ball quickly and help the team transition, she can carry the ball and she flashes the kind of speed a forward has when she makes a run forward. Her ability on the ball and to push forward can really expose defenses. However, she is still an excellent defender who does more than just step into passing lanes as she is strong, physical and takes attackers on 1v1, does not shy away from contact, and is a ball-winner.
