Anna’s fantastic work rate as a winger, primarily on the left, has seen her get called up for a recent USWYNT training camp. An intense player who loves to press aggressively, she often wins the ball in crucial positions. When she gets the ball, she proves to be devastating. Being skillful and agile helps her beat defenders in one-on-one situations with ease. She’s also incredibly fast, beating players for pace if she can’t skill past them. When she gets into the box, she demonstrates her phenomenal finishing. The calmness she scores with is remarkable, a calmness that isn’t normal for wingers. She’s also very helpful in defense, dropping back to offer support and win the ball back.

The Pittsburgh area is rich in talent in the 2028 class, as you can see from the Pennsylvania rankings. However, Korney stands out from the crowd for all the best reasons. She is a clear difference-maker even while playing up an age group and playing against mostly players two graduation classes above her. She is dynamic on the ball with an electrifying burst. She impressed during the ECNL Conference Cup this summer, which had the best of the best in the country squaring off. Korney deserves to be in that conversation as one of the best wingers in the country in this class.

Korney is a winger/attacking player for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds 08 ECNL team. She played on the club’s 09 and 08 ECNL teams last season and has earned the promotion to playing with the 08 group, which is mostly 2026 players. Korney is a special talent. She has pace, skill, and an exquisite left foot. She played on the left wing for her club side last year and won most of her duels against older outside backs in a tough ECNL Conference. Korney has all the traits of a player who is going to be a big time prospect in the future.
