Roshelle Gobin | Prep Soccer Scout
Another First Team All‑Conference selection at the U15 level. Symmonds anchors the back line with real defensive presence. Her strength in duels stands out immediately, and she rarely gets moved off her spot. Moreover, her experience with the UK national team shows in her composure, timing, and ability to read pressure before it arrives. She brings a blend of physicality and discipline that stabilizes the entire unit, making her one of the most reliable pieces in the 2010 Premier back line.

Symmonds is a center back on the Florida Premier 2010 ECNL team. She is a tremendous defender. She played right center back during the ECNL playoffs and her stellar play against La Roca was a major reason why the team advanced to Richmond. She is athletic, quick, and determined. She had a couple of plays in the game that reminded me of Florida State commit Kai Price. She blocked a close shot off a cross that I’m fairly confident no other center back in the country would’ve been able to stop. It comes down to her tactical brilliance as well as elite athleticism that makes her the best in her position in the state in this class. She was part of the US U14 Girls National Team camp in March.

I previously scouted Symmonds as a box-to-box midfielder. She played right center back at the ECNL Playoffs when I saw her. She was exceptional in that role. The qualities of a center midfielder in possession in that role allowed her team to dominate possession. It helps that Symmonds is one of the smartest players in the ECNL and could adapt and thrive in any role. Florida Premier finished the event with only one goal conceded from the four games. Kenza Mikou, Addison Jericho, and Addyson Knowles were also standouts for FL Premier.

Symmonds is a midfielder on the Florida Premier 2010 ECNL team. She has been part of the US Soccer Talent ID events in the past as well as the ODP South team. Symmonds is part of a very talented soccer family. Her older sister Adia is a top player in the 2007 age group/2025 class. Aziza is starting to make a name for herself. She is a box-to-box midfielder who is influential on both sides of the ball. The aspect of her game that really stood out from game film was her passing ability. She has excellent vision and hits a variety of passes to open up the field for her team – cross field diagonal balls, back spin over the top to send in the center forward, and grass-cutting driven balls on the ground. She has all that in the arsenal and more. She is often the one playing the key pass. She is very comfortable on the ball on either foot and has the skill to fake a pass to create space in the center of the field. Symmonds is a highly intelligent player and has the potential to be an international level prospect in this age group.
