Brooklyn displayed flashes of greatness in her ECNL Championship match that just couldn’t be ignored. She made multiple difficult saves that required not only athletic ability, but also a keen awareness of her positioning and shot angles. Concorde Fire Platinum ECNL G11 was a formidable opponent but, Cortez posted a clean sheet in the most important match of the tournament. The push and extension she produces with her height is impressive. Keep Brooklyn on your radar, she may be developing into one of the next big GK’s to watch.
