Nordstrom decided the match with Sting Austin ‘s game-winning goal and was a constant threat to Challenge’s backline. She made insistent runs behind the backline, keeping the opponents under pressure, and also made an impact when she dropped deeper to get on the ball and make plays. Nordstrom was excellent in the play in which she scored the only goal of the match, timing her run extremely well to remain onside and beating Challenge’s goalkeeper with a great shot. She created another great opportunity for her team in the second half, but saw one of her teammates finish wide.

Nordstrom is a skilled attacking player with Sting Austin , who was recognized in 11th place in our Rankings. A member of their 15s team in the last ECNL season, she likes to operate centrally, but can play different roles in there, serving either as the focal point of her team’s offense at the striker spot or appearing a little deeper and taking part in their chance-creation efforts. Nordstrom is very dangerous when placed near the penalty box because she works very well with her back to the goal, but also thrives at making runs behind the backline to finish chances. When used as a second forward or attacking midfielder, the skills that stand out the most are her ability to drive the ball forward and to shoot from distance.

Nordstrom was one of the standouts from the Sting Austin side that advanced to the Round of 16. She is a talented player who can pop up as a center forward or as an attacking midfielder. She is skillful on the ball and difficult to contain. She plays with a lot of energy and provides chances for her side.
