Caidy is a fantastic defensive talent who can also play as a defensive midfielder. Her talents are best used at center-back, though, where she imposes herself fantastically. Not only does she not shy away from duels, but she actively looks for them. The strength with which she goes into either duels or tackles is remarkable. She makes sure that the opposing player knows that she will not be giving them any breathing space. Her relentless nature makes her great in both recovering the ball cleanly and launching her team forward. Often being the center-back who pushes up the furthest, she is the first one on the ball on a potential counter-attack. Here, she demonstrates her fantastic technical ability. She’s intelligent in her decision-making, knowing exactly where to play the ball given the context she finds herself in.

She is also part of the Philippines U17 Women’s National Team. Nelson’s international experience is an exciting aspect of her player profile. Her game is versatile enough to shine at the domestic youth level as well as on a platform with national team players. She is a good defender who does well organizing the backline from the center, but has the athleticism to slot out into a wide role as a possibility as an outside back.

She does very well to create space with the ball and break lines with her passes. Nelson is smart and shows at good angles to be an option. Defensively, she cuts passes well and is willing to win in the air. Overall, she works well with the other center back and does well preventing threats around the box.
