The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is a soccer program that has grown greatly in these last few years. With that, they know that the talent they recruit has to be up to par. With that in mind, they chose these players very correctly. Each of them has something to add to a team that continues to grow.

Blythe has characterized herself as a reliable, dominant, and safe figure in her youth career. She strikes confidence in her defense whenever she needs to be called on. Her confidence in coming off her line, coming out for crosses, and even tasks that seem simple, makes her a very exciting prospect. We know that goalkeepers are more exposed to the cruelty of the sport. However, Blythe's mental fortitude gives her an important advantage when making the transition into the college level. Whether or not her transition is immediate, I can be sure that when she gets her chance, she'll shine. With a year left in the youth game as well, she has extra time to prepare for such an important task.

Averie is a midfielder who cools down the tempo of the match when it gets too messy. She has a good read of the game, knowing when and where to move and pass given the context. Rarely is she going to make a rash decision when playing the ball. In today's game, she'd be considered as someone who gives "pause" so that her teammates can regroup. At the collegiate level, this can be a crucial trait. Calming down plays is something that is as necessary as it is rare. Hopefully, she'll be able to translate this when she gets to Greensboro.

Ryder proved herself as a fantastic talent in the final third at the youth level. She's been one of the best in the state in her position for a while, and she has been rewarded with this opportunity. Her devastating nature in the box is something that in the college game will be a game-changing factor. Her composure, regardless of the context surrounding her, is great to watch. If she keeps this cold-blooded nature in Greensboro, she'll be one of the brightest talents for the foreseeable future.

Caidy is a fantastic defender who plays best as a center back. Her strength and confidence put her at an advantage against her peers at the youth level. Her physique also helps immensely with her natural defensive talent. Being so dominant at the back is a quality that will be very welcome at the college level. A player with her technical, physical, and mental capacities will undoubtedly shine at this next stage.

Summer is a direct attacking midfielder. Her offensive aggressiveness is fantastic to watch. This type of talent sets her apart from many midfielders her age because of where she comes from on the pitch. She plays deeper than you expect from a box-crashing midfielder. Yet, she finds herself in the box constantly. Her composure in the box is phenomenal. These talents at the college level are going to be crucial. Being sort of a "ghost attacker" will see her bag plenty of goals if she transitions into the college level the way I expect her to.
