Continues to impress every time I watch him play. An absolute pocket monster. He is tiny and incredibly fast so really difficult to defend him. You can’t teach what he possesses when it comes to technical excellence, change of direction speed and vision. I think in the right niche this kid can be special in the future.

Trelles is the rare blend of talent, hard-work and understanding of the game. He has such a mind for the game as he sees several moves ahead and operates in the midfield as such. You can see him pulling the strings and making things go for his team. He’s exceptionally skilled on the ball, showing the ability to carry the ball, to beat defenders and to make runs into space, and he also has incredible passing range, accuracy and vision. He understands space well, not just in terms of occupying it, but even more so in terms of where to play the ball.

Trelles is a central midfielder from SF Glens in MLS Next. He was one of the best players on the club’s 09 team last season. The expectation is that he will be a top contributor for the group at the U15 level this year. He has been identified as a top player in the state and region by US Soccer and US Club Soccer with call-ups to the Youth National Team and the Player Development Program (PDP). Trelles is a high work-rate player. His club uses him to press in a variety of ways and he is a willing runner. In possession, he is creative with the ball. He has the skill to take on players on the dribble, but he’s an even better passer. The Glens play a lot of combination soccer and Trelles is the facilitator for that. He has high level upside. He isn’t the biggest player on the field but he has adjusted well to the physical nature of the elite club game so there is reason to believe he will still be an impactful player in the older age groups and the next level.
