Avila was the standout for Dallas Texans B07/08 in their 2-0 loss to England’s Everton College in the U19 division. A right-sided center back, he showed solid physical tools and good mobility to deal with the opposing forwards. The defender had great timing in his defensive actions and was very firm, having a good success rate in 1v1 duels. Avila also made a significant impact when he had the ball, not only doing a good job with his distribution out of the back, but actually stepping into the attacking half and helping create chances with well-weighted through balls.
