Stromsborg was an ECNL Southwest All-Conference Second Team selection last season. She has continued to be one of the top players in the conference this season and should be in the conversation as one of the best right backs in Southern California in the 2010 age group. She’s been identified as such by scouts from the Youth National Team as well as professional clubs.
Stromsborg’s two-way play is her best asset. She has a green light to get into the attack whenever she sees the opportunity. The nonstop runner covers a ton of ground and her effort never seems to drop off. She’s excellent on the ball and plays with her head up. An underrated part of her game is her ability on the throw-in. She isn’t a long throw specialist, but her strength and technique lets her exceed the average and tends to provide a chance or two per game with the speedy wingers from Breakers winning their 1v1 duels in those situations.
Stromsborg has been a key player on a squad that is battling every weekend for a top place in one of the most competitive conferences in the ECNL.
