Expert Analysis

Moore is a midfielder who’s always scanning, ready to release quickly when the window opens. Moore is comfortable playing over the top. She threads passes through the middle. Adding another layer with her patience in possession and evidently waits for the right moment to break lines. It will be exciting to see how her vision blends into a new rhythm. Her decision-making will add to the tempo.

is the only 2027 grad on this list. She has already participated in 3 USYNT camps, and recently was also invited to a Gotham FC ID Camp. Emerson is what a coach would build as a box to box midfielder. She has great close control dribbling and uses it to beat defenders and break the press. Her agility and speed when changing directions helps her to keep her team on the attack and in dangerous areas. She has great strength to win the ball back and rarely comes out on the short end of a 50/50 challenge. Most times I get to watch her play, she covers more ground than any other midfielder on the field as well. She also has great technique passing at all levels and shooting during the run of play.

Moore played for the Richmond United team that completed its schedule in Dallas with two wins and one loss. I got to watch their last match in the event, a 3-2 win over Sting Austin, in which she was arguably the best player on the field, despite playing one age group up. Moore spent part of the match as an attacking midfielder and she was very dangerous on that spot, beating defenders off the dribble to progress the ball and dropping deeper to find the wide players with long, accurate passes. Moore also appeared on the left, playing a little bit more advanced, and stood out by beating defenders in space to create chances. She had a major impact on her team’s victory by scoring with a beautiful shot from outside the penalty box and registering an assist with an excellent cross from the left.
