Her ability to read the keeper’s positioning and making smart decisions. Additionally, she knows exactly when to speed up her dribble or slow it down, always keeping an eye on teammates making their runs. Her timing on passes consistently creates opportunities in the final third. Altogether, Ortega’s quick pace and sharp soccer IQ make her a dynamic presence every time she steps on the field.

Technical experience in high pressure environments, which is seen with a high level of play at feet. Dribbling in tight corners, close spaces, numerical mismatches is superb. With experience in futsal and playing up, the press resistance factor is key. Moving from side to side, or one position to another in the attack, there is the expectation of finding a way to breakthrough and solve the puzzle in clutch moments.

Ortega is a playmaker in the midfield. She is a very active player in the center of the field. She covers a ton of ground. She’s a great passer and her team thrives when the ball is at her feet. She’s been leading her club team in points for the last few seasons.
