Another top player headed to a top program. The Ireland Youth International and CESA talent is headed to Georgetown in 2026. She is extremely versatile able to play pretty much all 10 outfield positions. She is a tidy finisher and tier 1 athlete electing to place rather than overpower her shots. The Hoyas have been exceptional this season currently sitting at 13-2-2 and looking like a shoe in to qualify for the postseason. The rich certainly get richer with this one.

Newell continues to impress and had her best season yet at the high school level. She set the school-record this season for most goals scored in a game (five). There is a lot to like about the Georgetown High School star’s game. She showed that she can be the most dominant player on the field even while playing against some top competition from old age groups at the high school level. She is the ultimate competitor and loves the game. She is a good finisher – and capable with either foot. It’s her composure and poise on the ball that really stands out. She has shown it at every level and there is every reason to believe it will be the trademark that carries through to the next level.

The Irish-American center midfielder is an exciting prospect from Texas. She is a standout for Lonestar in the Girls Academy and Sting Austin when she plays in the ECNL. I thought her performances for the Ireland U16 National Team was the best example of her potential at the next level. She disrupted the play in the midfield, quickly connected passes, and she was unlucky not to score – a Swiss defender blocked the effort. Newell is one to watch this Spring.
