Were was named 2nd Team All-State for her play with Frisco Panther Creek. The forward from Solar 08 ECNL might be a bit of a more well-known name as she has a number of fans among top programs at the Division I level. It is easy to see why. Dynamic on the ball and lethal in the final third, Were offers game-breaking ability any time she is near the goal. She is going to be an early contributor at the next level thanks to her elite attributes on the field, which will make her an early target from the 2026 class.
Swadener is throwing her name into the conversation as one of the best goalkeepers in the state in this class. She has been on fire during the past year. Her play at the ECNL level and at the high school level has been a key to the success of her teams at both levels. She is excellent shot-stopper, good communicator, and instills confidence in her teammates because she consistently makes the big-time stop at the crucial moment. Swadener displays a high-level of technical prowess for the position with excellent footwork and good body positioning in the net. She has potential to elevate her game with her distribution. She is a top prospect for the position.
Audrey Gilbert Audrey Gilbert F Wakeland | 2026 TX is a decorated forward from DKSC and Frisco Wakeland. She was an 1st Team All-State selection and the MVP for the 5A State Championship game as a sophomore. She is a high-level prospect. She is exceptional in many facets of the game for a center forward. She doesn’t overwhelm in any one area, but does a bunch of things really well. The lasting trait for me is her singular focus. She wants to score goals – and score as many as possible. Gilbert’s play in the past year should get the attention of all the big programs in the country.
Fuller is a defender on the Lonestar squad and had a stellar campaign for Pflugerville Hendrickson at the high school level. She was a First Team All-State selection for her play as a sophomore. Fuller is a lockdown center back. She is a natural leader and a fierce competitor. She is the type of player that every coach wants on their team. She uses her long stride really well – both in blocking shots and crosses and also in closing down attackers. She is excellent in using her body in the tackle and cleanly winning possession of the ball for her side. Fuller is among the top center backs from this class currently and has a very high ceiling for her future.
Newell continues to impress and had her best season yet at the high school level. She set the school-record this season for most goals scored in a game (five). There is a lot to like about the Georgetown High School star’s game. She showed that she can be the most dominant player on the field even while playing against some top competition from old age groups at the high school level. She is the ultimate competitor and loves the game. She is a good finisher – and capable with either foot. It’s her composure and poise on the ball that really stands out. She has shown it at every level and there is every reason to believe it will be the trademark that carries through to the next level.

Coombs is a winger who has been a standout at the Girls Academy level and had star-studded high school campaign as a sophomore. Coombs was named First Team All-Start for her play with Katy Tompkins. It’s fun to watch her recent highlights. Coombs has a knack for throwing defenders off-balance with her initial touch and then using her quick feet to blow past them. The powerful first step was effective at creating space and allowed her to lead the charge for her high school program in the attacking third. There is plenty of potential there to suggest she will continue to be a top attacking talent in this class.

Oberholtzer is an interesting prospect from this class, as she is a dual-sport athlete and could possibly be a college-level competitor in both sports. Oberholtzer is a star on the track. She set multiple school records as a freshman at Canyon Lake. Now, as a sophomore, she is tearing up the pitch too. She was named to 1st Team All-State after a stellar campaign. She was unstoppable on the soccer field. Her speed really shined this season. She was always first to the ball and did well in getting that first touch out in front of her so she could open up her stride into the open field. Around the goal, she showed the goal scorer’s instincts with one-touch finishes when needed. Oberholtzer is a smart player who should be on the radar for scouts from the 2026 class.
