Swadener is the starting goalkeeper of the Sting Dallas Black 08 team that sits at the top of the standings in the Texas Conference with just six goals conceded in 15 matches. Although their defensive solidness is certainly a team effort, the goalkeeper plays a major role in it, stepping up with big saves every time she’s needed. Swadener is very quick in her mind and that allows her to read shots and react to them in no time, giving her an extra split-second to make her moves. She has a strong presence between the posts and does a very good job of communicating with her teammates.

Swadener is throwing her name into the conversation as one of  the best goalkeepers in the state in this class. She has been on fire during the past year. Her play at the ECNL level and at the high school level has been a key to the success of her teams at both levels. She is excellent shot-stopper, good communicator, and instills confidence in her teammates because she consistently makes the big-time stop at the crucial moment. Swadener displays a high-level of technical prowess for the position with excellent footwork and good body positioning in the net. She has potential to elevate her game with her distribution.
