Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I would describe my gameplay style as aggressively strategic and a play maker with the ball, assisting goals and scoring, I also work back on defense if needed or if a game requires more focus defensively. As a player I like to focus on a dynamic game by opening up space to create passing lanes with my teammates.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I have a very strong work ethic which has allowed me to grow in skill set and soccer IQ at a fast pace. I always take opportunities to train and work with experienced coaches and trainers while making time to do game review sessions. Ultimately, I am highly motivated to work independently while also seeking as many resources to help me grow as athlete. My personality is very driven and focused.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have been a youth mental health ambassador for Childhood-matters, a non-profit that strives to help with mental health in youth at the earliest of child development and throughout the course of adolescence. I was also selected to be a Louisville high school student ambassador which focuses on helping in coming students acclimate to a new school.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I am certified in QPR which is a part of suicide prevention.I have taken multiple courses in suicide prevention, anti bullying and have learned about different ways to help youth manage mental health problems as well as advocating for mental health among my High School and sports communities. I have learned to be more outspoken in the communities I'm involved in such as sports and school.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I had to learn to advocate for myself and where I want my soccer journey to go while finding myself in a challenging mentorship. I found strength in my voice to speak for up for myself and listening to my intuition. In this phase of my athletic journey, learning to begin the process of trusting oneself in making my own choices has been both difficult but also very empowering.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that bridges academics and athletics. I want to go to a college that values me as a person/student as well as a player. A college that invests in me becoming the very best version of a contributing person to my community both on and off the field. On that note, soccer is very much a passion for me, I hope to incorporate that somewhere into my career in a creative way.
