About Jaedyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Agressive attacker both in the offense and the defense. Very versatile all over the field. Can place the ball in the goal in a multitude of situations. Leads team but also a great teammate.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m very coachable is what I’ve been told by every coach that’s ever coached me. I’m also a very social person so I’m easy to talk to and make friends quickly. I love challenges, I come from a super competitive family that loves sports.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m heavily involved in my local youth group, Church 1132YTH. I believe God comes first in all things I do in life but especially in soccer.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have always faced lots of adversity because of my differing start from most Texas players. I grew up in Iowa, then Chicago, then finally Texas. I never had a real home in club soccer until recently so I’ve always had to develop certain qualities that have given me amazing attributes I couldn’t have gotten without my difficult journey.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

There have been multiple times I was told I was amazing and a club would love me for the team but “I would adjust the chemistry too much” or “our roster is full (even though they’re holding tryouts)” or “we already have our premier forward”. I have faced major politics in every situation I have entered except for any overseas camps or trials I went to. I have always had to face intense adversity.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that prioritizes me. That truly believes in me, that wants me to succeed, and actually knows how to coach me. I want a smart coach that I can discuss plays with, break down scenarios with, and talk to about almost anything. I want a campus that feels like home everytime I step onto it. I want extremely high academic standards because of my aspirations to become an anesthesiologist.
