She is a multi-sport standout and is known for her physical presence on defense while winning clean possessions and locking down key players. Her recovery speed is considered extraordinary, as she can track back to cover defensive gaps in a heartbeat. Jordyn can also be seen flying down the wings and adding another layer to the attack. While her speed and athleticism separate her from the rest, her box-to-box play makes her a potential USYNT call-up, as she recently participated in the USYNT West Regional Mini-Camp. It will be great to see her make the squad one day. Hopefully it’s sooner rather than later. One thing’s for sure, she is definitely on the national team scouts’ radar.

The San Juan talent made a massive jump into the top 30. Her athleticism and competitive fire are very easy to notice. She has endless energy and delivers a quality end product more times than not. Very promising future for Daniels if she keeps developing her game. She has all the talent to be a power 4 commit.

Daniels is an excellent defender playing for the amazing San Juan 09 ECNL team. She is a no nonsense, physical player who reads play well and possesses elite athleticism. Multi sport athlete and although there are some players on her team who might be getting some more attention then her it doesn’t take away the fact that she is a Power 4 talent. I think many collegiate programs might see her playing one of the outside back roles which I believe will suit her well as she will have more space to run and really thrives in 1 on 1 situations.

Jordyn “JD” Daniels is one of the best outside backs in California in the 2027 class. She had a stellar showing during the ECNL playoffs last season. She plays either spot on the outside of the back four for San Juan. She has ELITE recovery pace. She does so well in using her body to shield attackers off the ball. She can man-mark the top winger out of the game. She offers a dangerous option flying forward from the outside back spot with her pace. She has high-level potential.
