The left center back from Michigan Hawks was a miss in the initial rankings for this class – and the national rankings. She is that good. Shannon will be a player that college coaches quickly move to contact when the recruitment period opens. Michigan Hawks does an exceptional job at developing center backs. You have to be a smart soccer player to play that role for that club – I mean that in both how you care for possession and how you see the game from a balance perspective of organizing teammates. Shannon does that – and has the Hawks sitting at the top spot in the Midwest Conference. The cherry on top is that she is a weapon in aerial duels. She tracks the flight of the ball better than most players and is not afraid to put her head on the ball.
