Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Having influence from South/North American, British, and African coaches and trainers; I am very comfortable with both possession play and direct attacking. As a midfielder, of course I love a ball that goes through the middle! Two strengths include my versatility in applying any style when the situation requires it and my ability to create opportunities that are unpredictable by the opponent.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’d describe myself as having creativity, vision, a calm composure, tactical intelligence, mental agility, high soccer IQ, stamina, work ethic, adaptability, resilience, hunger to get better. I consider myself the heart of a team, a leader, the organizer, the distributor, the glue. As a midfielder, I balance being selfless and ruthless as both an offensive playmaker and a defensive disruptor.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Band Outstanding Member Award. I am active in youth service activities through Cottonwood Creek Church and Church Eleven32. I also co-lead an independent small group Bible study for teens.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through soccer, I’ve developed leadership on the field, teamwork, a strong work ethic, a desire for continuous improvement, drive to independently train, and high responsibility. And as an Allen High School Varsity team member, I’ve had the opportunity to serve my local community through the All Community Outreach Toy Drive and the Eagle Give Day service project for the Children’s Advocacy Center.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
As a child, I was delayed in growth compared to some my age. Competing with bigger, physical kids was a challenge. However, I focused on my technical ability, continued intensive skills training, and learned to beat physicality with quickness on the ball. Now, as I train with college and pro players and have realized that I am at their skill level, I am grateful for those years as the smaller kid.
What type of college are you looking for?
With an ultimate goal of physical therapy or sports medicine, I'm drawn to colleges that offer strong programs in health-related majors like biology, kinesiology, and exercise science. My dream is to play soccer at a highly competitive level while successfully completing the prerequisite coursework to apply for a post grad PT program and possibly pursue soccer after college.
