Headed to the University of Virginia in 2027 Berk is an exceptional playmaker with amazing technique. She is a USA futsal international which explains her comfort in tight spaces with a lot of bodies around. It could unlock a different dimension to Virginia’s offense when she is introduced which could be a scary thing for the rest of the ACC. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Penn Fusion was another group that had quite a few players put stellar performances on game film from the playoffs. Berk’s game against SLSG Navy – in a decisive final game from group play – sealed her spot on the Best XI.
Berk was everywhere in that game. She’s breaking the press, spinning off defenders, and pinging cross field passes on a dime. She’s making open field tackles – with a bite – and starting the quick counter. She’s involved in all the key actions for her side to get a result so they could advance to the Round of 16 – and then seal the spot in Richmond.

The battle in the midfield between Paul VI and Shawnee is going to be one to watch Saturday night and while Shawnee has an advantage in terms of experience at this stage, Paul VI’s uber talented sophomore class has led them to an impressive 16-1-1 season (the lone loss was to Maryland power McDonagh). Berk’s play in the midfield linking the defense to the attack will be critical for Paul VI going for the program’s first coaches cup trophy.

Paul VI is loaded with talent, particular with their sophomore class, but Berk stood out most to me in their season-opening come-from-behind win over Eastern. Berk is active in central midfield, strong in transition and knows what to do with the ball at her feet.

Berk is a midfielder for Penn Fusion 09 ECNL. She plays as one of the attacking midfielders for the side – often on the right. Berk seems more like a box-to-box midfielder. She has a well-rounded game and can honestly do everything. There are points of the game when she will switch with a teammate to cover a spot because she anticipates where the opposition will be looking to go with their next pass. I thought her effort was really impressive too when she stopped a counter with her long tracking run. Berk does a lot of the little things that contribute to winning soccer – even if it doesn’t always show up in the box score.
