Klimpel is a midfielder on the Slammers FC 2010 ECNL team. She has been outstanding at the start of the ECNL season. She’s quick, aggressive, and fearless. Klimpel immediately stands out from the ECNL level for her decisiveness defensively. She will put in a slide tackle in the middle of the field when she sees the opportunity. The commitment from her is unmatched. She plays as a wide midfielder in a 4-4-2, but there is a reason to believe she could play anywhere in the midfield. Klimpel’s enthusiasm and determination have been key to the Slammers’ midfield in three close results at the start of the season. For scouts looking at hard-working, overlooked midfielders, Klimpel should be top of the list. She is going to be a fighter for playing time from the first moment she steps on campus – and she has shown she can compete against the top talent in the country at the ECNL level. 

She had a very strong 2024-2025 ECNL season, as she was selected to the Southwest All-Conference First Team. Laiken is ranked by Prep Soccer as the #157 in the 2028 class. We will be hearing more about her as she looks forward to making her school’s varsity squad and as her club team makes plans to go further in the next national tourney. Her strength is being comfortable with the ball at her feet. She uses her athleticism to make strong and clean tackles while making quick and precise passes.
