She had a really good year as a freshman starter, playing in 19 matches and contributing on both ends of the pitch. Lexie tallied 4 goals and 5 assists. Her goal against Santa Clara was top-level. Her goal came off of a deflected corner kick. Her quick run to the ball and one-touch power shot were too fast for the defense and goalkeeper to respond to. Lexie was active on the defensive third, while making defensive stops with clean tackles and stepping in attacking lanes. She also had another beautiful goal at ECNL Phoenix, but that would be saved for another time. Lexie should get into the top 100 rankings in the next 2029 update. Her ascent in both the high school and club competitions will definitely help with that.

The Mountain View HS standout delivered a top-level goal score as she received a deflected ball from a corner kick just outside of the 18. She took control of the bouncing ball by one-touching it forward and striking it one a sweet half-volley shot to the right side corner, just beyond the the outstretched hands of a diving Lillee Maine who almost got the spectacular save. I’ve covered Lexie in high school competition and she’s definitely a top rated player who might plays above her age group. Her poise under pressure is what sets her apart and I look forward to seeing her and this elite-level, undefeated MVLA team (22-0-2) make an epic run for a title at the national playoffs.

She scored goal #2 in the Spartans 2-0 win over Santa Clara. Her ability to play as a box-to-box player helped to secure support on the defensive third, while making quality runs to the 18. She also showed some speed and agility when slipping past defenders. I really liked her smooth moves to get past the defenders, before firing off a rocket shot past the goalkeeper. Lexie plays ECNL club soccer for MVLA.
