Libby is a complete talent who primarily plays in defensive roles. For her club, she mostly plays as a center-back, and for her school, she plays as a defensive midfielder. Defensively, she imposes herself through both her mentality and physicality. She knows what the play asks of her when she needs to intervene. Her tackles are strong and clean, rarely needing to go to ground to win it back. She also shields the ball really well, bullying attackers off of it quite easily. In attack, she demonstrates how intelligent she is. Even though she plays from deep, she finished the season as her school’s top assister. This is because of her wonderful vision and incisive passes. She plays them with purpose, even if they’re risky. She’s a midfielder who avoids playing safe, allowing her team to move forward effectively.
