About Lola
Expert Analysis

The California HS CB was active on both ends of the pitch. Her strong, over-the-top passes put her offense in scoring positions, and her defensive play kept the Cougars off the board in the first half. She made strong defensive plays and was pivotal in stopping the Cougars’ attack from getting on the board in the first half. Lola’s ability to push up while making counterattacks provided her offense opportunities to score. She has the technical skills to keep possession, make clean passes, or get by defenders. Utilizing her strength and physical advantage makes players reconsider attacking down the middle. Lola is definitely on pace for competing at the next level. Lola is a Colorado State commit.

Cervantes is taking her talents to Colorado State in 2027. The USA Futsal International lives up to that title she has insane foot skills. The De Anza Force product is headed to a program that just concluded their season losing 1-0 in the Mountain West Tournament. There is definitely room for optimism though as they achieved a 10 win season and have some excellent pieces moving forward. Really good fit.

She showed a strong defensive play and made some really good stops near the 18 or just inside the box. If she were not present for this match, the game would have surely gotten out of hand. She can also push up to start counterattacks and fire long-range shots on goal. Her long-ball passes also put players in scoring position, but either the shots pinged off the posts or sailed just wide. She uses her physical advantage to make players reconsider attacking down the middle.

Cervantes is an outside back who plays for De Anza Force ECNL. She has previous experience playing attacking midfielder as well. She is five-foot-10 and right footed. The ceiling is pretty high for her at outside back. She’s got the physical profile to match the rigors of the college game. She’s an excellent 1v1 defender. She uses her body well in the tackle and shows off her strength in holding off the opposition once she gains possession of the ball.
Her playmaking quality from her previous experiences an attacking midfielder will also be an asset as an outside back. She could improve on her speed of play. There are some wasted touches – times when she takes an extra touch when on the run into the attack or small touches when gaining control of the ball.
If she continues to hone that side of her game, she should be viewed as an early contributor for the college level. Her defensive instincts and work rate are superb. She has put on game film her 1v1 defending against some of the best attacking talent in the 2026 and 2027 class. There’s plenty to love about her game and her mentality.
