Bernetti has verbally committed to playing college soccer next season at Campbell University. A right-footed defender, Bernetti is very adept at reading where attackers are looking to go and adjusting her positioning accordingly. She does a superb job at closing gaps, whether as the first defender directly engaging her opponent or as support looking to block crosses or long balls into the box. That she also has a booming right foot that can clear dangerous balls in the box certainly doesn’t hurt. For both club and school (Maryland United FC/Archbishop Spalding) she has proven to be a valuable asset on corner kicks and set pieces as well.
