Karson elevates the defensive group with quick, confident decisions under pressure and a natural ability to break lines with her creativity and vision. She shows tactical maturity well beyond her age, reading play early and solving problems with purpose. Her technical and physical game continues to rise, and this camp will test both as she pushes into higher‑level demands. This environment gives her another chance to grow inside the U.S. National Team system and reinforce her upward trajectory.

Karson is one of the top prospects in the country for her age. The Mustang SC defenders presence on the field reflects that status. Playing with a calm, controlled touch. She has a natural feel for the game and shows an ability to read situations early. Her technical polish, physical tools, and growing tactical awareness give her a steady influence in midfield. Those qualities made her an easy fit for the U‑16 Girls’ National Team camp roster in Spain.

Karson just gets better and better. The Mustang talent is climbing up the rankings. She has one of the most complete packages you can ask for in a Defensive midfielder/center back combo player. Two great feet, height, length, excellent on the half turn, good speed, fantastic defensive footwork, elite IQ, and excellent on the dribble into midfield where she picks her teammates out on the dish exceptionally. She has captained the USYNT and the sky really is the limit for this prospect.

Karson was one of the best players on the field against LAFC So Cal. She looked poised and in control of every moment of the match. Karson is a highly rated defender and looks the part of a player who has professional level aspirations.

The Carondelet midfielder was locked in during corner kicks. Mercy got the assist on the Cougars’ first goal with a beautiful corner kick. The GK hit the ball downwards, and Sloan was there to send it to the back of the net. Throughout the match she put up 3-4 corner kicks, which players missed by the slightest of margins. Mercy just came back from USYNT duties while training/competing in Türkiye. She is one of the top players in CA and in the nation for the class of 2028. I look forward to seeing her compete at the highest stages.

The Carondelet Mid played as a box-to-box player. Normally a DB, it was great to see her in this new role. Her strong presence on the offensive side was definitely impactful, as Mercy got the two assists while making strong and clean tackles to help keep the Grizzlies off the board. The ECNL National Selection POTM made precise passes and found players in space by timing quick “critical scans” to create an advantage in playmaking. I’ve evaluated Mercy in at least 7 other events (COPA Pro Pathway x 2, ECNL National Playoffs, and ECNL Competition x 3), and she always delivers. It’s always a pleasure to see players make improvements at each outing, and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing her compete at the higher stages, as she has a bright soccer future ahead of her. Karson has had an excellent start to her High School campaign. Her Carondelet side just got back competing against the top ranked teams in Texas over the break winter break. She has 2 goals and 6 assists as a defensive midfielder. This Cougars program is ranked 47th in the state which is the highest ranked team of any player on this list. They remain undefeated at 4-0-3.

Karson plays like she is in complete and utter control. Her ability to turn defense into offense is a sight to behold. One second she will looked like she is pinned back and the next she is starting her teams next attack. She was voted by The ECNL committee as the player of the game for the National Selection Game and she thoroughly deserved it. The kid is special.

Karson is a top player. With trial’s with Racing Louisville and Bay FC on her resume already as well as being with the Youth National Team in Chula Vista and Fayetteville. She is playing up with the Mustang 2009’s this year and is a CDM/CB combo player that can contribute to a successful program on day 1 of arrival. She’s tall, athletic, and technically exceptional. Never seems to run out of energy and already dominates the air like a division 1 player.
