Hard to consider Corona a youth player still as she has been playing with the big girls for some time now. From what I hear she is already on campus at UCLA training with the first team. She has professional training experience with a handful of professional clubs. I see Corona as someone who can dominate at the USLW level and I highly encourage watching.

Mia is a midfielder who’s tough to track because she’s quite literally everywhere. She constantly creates problems. Whether she’s out wide or central, she looks to get on the score sheet. She did just that. Scoring in the opening game and in the last. Her awareness of space makes her dangerous, as even the slightest opening can turn into a goal. That was obvious in her strike in the 36th minute against Puerto Rico.

Monster name headed to a monster program. The USA youth International has chosen to remain in Southern California by choosing the UCLA Bruins as her future team. UCLA are going to have a team full of superstars and I do worry about some amazing players getting lost in the shuffle. I don’t believe Corona is one of those players. She will be a day 1 starter. The next level may be calling her name after every collegiate season. Until then the Bruins have a top international talent at their disposal in 2027.

Mia Corona has been a standout in the Southern California scene for quite some time. Her rapid rise on the national spotlight is no surprise. She is skillful, clever, and determined. She is a mesmerizing dribbler who can slice the defense apart with her skill and a exquisite passer who can see a pass no one else can spot.
Corona has all the talent to make the leap to the professional level in the future and is on the radar for many clubs. She is a Nike athlete and represented by the Wasserman group.
Player comparison – Rose Lavalle. There are a few players who can draw the comparison to Lavalle, but Corona has the elite traits that could make her just as good in the future as a midfielder.

Coronoa is a special player. She is the No. 1 rated player from the class of 2027 and she plays on the this Legends team with the 2025’s. She played a lot as a freshman for the top high school girls program in the state at Santa Margarita and continues to improve because she’s playing against top notch, older competition. Watch her play and there is no doubt that she belongs. She is exceptionally talented with the ball at her feet, consistently beating defenders, putting them into the spin cycle and creating for herself and her teammates. She is so proficient with either foot, whether she’s carrying the ball down the pitch, splitting defenders with a perfectly placed ball or sending a cracking shot on the frame of goal.

The Legends FC player is just a freshman for the Santa Margarita program, but is a prodigious player, with a lot of skill and ability. She’s improving each day as she plays against older players in the high school game and this will serve her well. She is very skilled and creative and is getting stronger and more physical as she gets more comfortable.

Corona is exactly the type of player that fits our standards – an impactful player at the highest youth level now with nearly endless potential. The youngster from Legends has been on the radar among top teams and scouts for years. She’s been playing up age groups and been identified as a top player even while playing against 07s. For those unfamiliar with her game, the easiest player comparison is
Melanie Barcenas

. Corona has a bit more bite defensively, while Barcenas has a bit more magic in her boots with her passing. Corona has the potential to elevate that side of her game. The more experience she gets as the focal point of her team’s attack, the more she will improve and evolve as a playmaker in the final third. Corona was an ECNL All-American honoree in the 08 age group last season. She is also part of the US Youth National Team.
