Mireles had a solid shift between the posts, doing well when called to action and making some nice stops. She couldn’t have done any better to avoid Challenge’s goal as her team turned the ball over in the backline, allowing Curtis to finish 1v1. The goalkeeper made some good saves and was always alert to leave her spot and get to passes played behind the backline, avoiding what could have been dangerous plays for the opponents. Mireles also did well with her long passes out of the back, and in one of them, she set up the play for Nepal’s goal.

Mireles ranked tenth among the goalkeepers after the update and is just inside the top-100, appearing in 98th place overall. She’s part of Humble High School’s varsity team and plays club soccer for Rise SC in the Girls Academy League. Mireles is very technical with her actions between the posts, handling long-distance shots well and successfully getting into the right spots to catch crosses. She’s very good at making decisions and doesn’t hesitate before leaving her spot to get to the ball, intercepting passes sent behind her backline at a good rate. Mireles has quality in possession, too, and doesn’t get fazed under pressure, picking the right passing options and helping her team move the ball out of the back.
