A talented left-footed midfielder, Badawiya is a very important piece in Austin’s offensive system. Having recently played with the club’s II two in the MLS Next Pro League, he does a great job of finding pockets of space to operate between the lines, from where he can make a major impact in the team’s playmaking. Because of his excellent vision, Badawiya doesn’t need much time on the ball to find teammates in dangerous spots in the final third and his passing is typically very accurate. The midfielder is also dangerous when dribbling opponents around the penalty box and provides great service from set pieces.

Badawiya was Austin’s most offensive-minded midfielder and he was very active while he was on the field – he was subbed off during the second half. The midfielder did a good job of finding space to operate between the Dynamo’s defensive lines and consistently got into dangerous spots in the final third. Badawiya also displayed good vision and quality on the ball around the penalty box, sending well-weighted through balls with his skilled left foot.

Badawiya had a standout performance in the MLS Next playoffs against FC United. The center midfielder scored twice in the game as he showed his quality against top competition. He is a skillful player who has spent a lot of time around a ball since his earliest days.
