Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Heintz and her Classics Elite G08/07 team will have Solar SC G08/07 and Dallas Texans G07 as opponents over the weekend. She plays as a defensive midfielder for them and is very intense with her work off the ball, but is perhaps even more important for the team when they have possession. With her excellent vision, Heintz starts the team’s offensive plays after getting the ball from the defenders, and she can either have the team play more directly, finding the attacking players with long passes, or progress the ball with combination plays through the center of the field. Despite not being extremely tall, she appears in great spots in the attacking penalty box in set pieces and often scores off headers.

Heintz plays for the Classics Elite G08 team that is set to meet Arlington Soccer, Indy Eleven Pro Academy and NCFC Youth in Greensboro. A hard-nosed and skilled central midfielder, she’s a hub for her team and a lot of their game relies on her, on both sides of the ball. Heintz is very determined defensively and does a great job of shielding the team’s backline with tremendous intensity and hard tackles. She’s also very skilled on the ball and distributed the game extremely well, be it playing directly to find the forwards or having a more methodical approach. Heintz is an interesting weapon in attacking set pieces as well, with her ability to win aerial duels in the penalty box and score off headers.

Heintz had a great shift in midfield for Classics Elite , making a strong impact in the game with her play. She did an excellent job of shielding the team’s backline, playing with determination and efficiently winning duels and making interceptions. The defensive midfielder was possibly even better on the ball, as, despite being under pressure on some occasions, she managed to keep her passing accurate and intelligent at all times, connecting well with the team’s wide players and sending promising long balls behind the opposing backline. Heintz also had great presence in the attacking half, scoring the team’s goal with a header off of a free kick and firing a dangerous shot from outside the penalty box during the first half.

Heintz is a midfielder on the Classics Elite 08 ECNL team. She missed most of last season with a knee injury. She has recovered and put on a show during the summer at some of the College ID camps. Heintz has been a key contributor for her club side in the past and started the ECNL season earning a spot on her club’s Team of the Week. She will be one to watch this season as she continues to show her quality once again on the pitch.

Heintz and her Classics Elite 08 teammates will play Chicago Inter Soccer, Charlotte Independence and Heat FC while in Tennessee. Expect Heintz to be a strong presence for them in midfield, although she can also help in the backline if needed. She plays with a lot of energy, covers a lot of ground in midfield and is great at winning the ball back. Heintz also does a solid job in possession, connecting smart passes and using her excellent footwork to beat opponents and generate space when under pressure. Even if not very tall, she’s very effective in the air, using that ability to clear balls and also to score goals on the attacking third.
