About Peyton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a technically skilled player who thrives under pressure and excels at receiving the ball in tight spaces. I love taking defenders on in 1v1 situations and driving toward goal, and I’m never afraid to commit to a 50/50 challenge.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mindset on the field is to strike the right balance, being decisive and selfish when the moment calls for it, while also inspiring and guiding my teammates toward collective success.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

At my high school I take part in St. Jude club, Dream Team, and going into my sophmore year I will be a student ambassador.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a Catholic, I love taking part in community services, but also on my soccer team I have been lucky enough to be the team captain, which has grown my leadership.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a soccer player, I’ve faced rejection especially with USYNT, but those setbacks fueled my determination to improve. That relentless drive to get better has ultimately paid off.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that offers a family-like environment and an outstanding soccer program, one that can help me grow as a player and hopefully advance my soccer career.

Lefler is a winger/midfielder on the Central Illinois United GA team. She was part of the US Soccer Youth National Team in the 2011 age group. She was also called into the Girls Academy National Talent ID event.

She can play on the wing or outside midfield. She is good on either side of the formation. She’s right footed, but looks comfortable on the left side. She is a good dribbler who likes to put the defender on their heels and use her speed to get past her mark. She is a clever passer and splits the defense with nifty footwork.

She has the quality to rip off a shot from outside of the box and she takes her opportunities when the defense gives her too much space. Lefler has the qualities to be a top player in the country from the wide position thanks to her 1v1 skill and quick footwork.
