The Stanford commit may have the highest IQ I watched all weekend. She reads the game like a 10-year pro and is able to do so because of her command of the ball. Whether its a touch, a pass or a dribble she always seems to know exactly what her next move is. She got a glorious assist today against the Michigan Hawks for her MVLA side on their way to a 2-1 victory.

She came off the bench for the California Storm and was a great addition to the game once she came on. She also scored the lone goal for her team’s 1-4 loss. She has such a wide range of passing. The Stanford commit is a female version of Xabi Alonso.

The Stanford commit showed really well last night. She was playing outside back mostly and is so clean in possession. She plays a different game to most of her peers. She sees the field in a way that is so advanced for a player her age. She plays fast when it is required and slows the game down when needed as well. She hits the ball so purely, her passing range is 10-15 yards longer then any other field player at this event.

I thought she was the difference maker in this game. She scored twice, got one assist, and created another one with a fantastic free kick play she orchestrated. She wins tackles, aerial duels, she sprays the ball around the field, leads by example as well as vocally, she combines passes and she produces. Can’t say enough good things about this young player.

Stargirl! Leal-Schuman is the real deal ladies and gentlemen. She plays further forward for her high school team then she does at club for MVLA either the 6 or the 8 as opposed to 2 or 3 for club. She was the difference in last night’s game. She is so calm in possession whether that’s facing her own goal with pressure on her back or on the half turn. She scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in her teams 5-1 win. She strikes the ball so purely with both feet, whether she’s shooting or passing. Tactically she is a step ahead and her tight space skill library is vast. Not surprised one bit she will be attending Stanford in 2026.

It has been a great couple of days for Leal-Schuman. She scored her teams lone goal/game-winner against De Anza Force. And also committed to Stanford an incredible accomplishment for this young star.

is a multi-positional player who is could be an outside back at the international level. She also plays as an attacking midfielder at the club level. With that type of background, it’s easy to see why the Lamorinda standout would be an influential player in the outside back role. She is skillful on the ball, has excellent vision, and offers some creativity in 1v1 duels in the attacking third. The freshman backs that quality up with solid defensive background. She is rarely out of position, and puts in the effort defensively. She is the top outside back option in this class in the first ranking.
