Very solid impressive performance from Burns. Excellent with the ball at her feet great decision making throughout the game. Won a ton of headers and made a handful of well timed tackles to stop MVLA attackers in their tracks. Excellent communicator she is definitely the field general out there.

Mustang defeated San Diego Surf 4-2 in the opener to setup a NorCal showdown on Sunday between MVLA and Mustang. Burns was a bright spot of the defense. She read the game well and shutdown Surf on countless attempts. It seemed like she was always in the right spot to cut out a pass or help support a teammate.
