The Davis Legacy attacker is headed to TCU in 2027. Macniven is a fantastic dribbler and finds pockets of space in the opposing defense really well. She is shifty and quick when closing space. Currently sitting at 12-2-1 and ranked #14 in the country the Horned Frogs are flying this season and just picked up another talented young player to their 2027 class.

She showed her speed, ball control, and dribbling and cutting skills with control, She scored the first goal of the match as she received the ball outside of the 18 and split defenders before deciding to avoid a 1v1 with the goalkeeper who cutoff her angle. Samantha turned right and with almost the same pace, she turned back in to fire off a rocket shot to the back post. Awesome display of speed, control, and decision making skills. Looking forward to seeing her have a breakout Junior year as she has a total of 27 goals and 28 assists at the varsity level.

Mac Niven is listed as a forward, midfielder, and defender on the roster – and I could imagine a scenario where she plays every position during this event. She is an electric player on the field. Her cleats seem to have a jet pack on them as she breezes past players with the ball at her feet with such ease. She is likely to feature on the wing given her speed, defensive tenacity, and quality in the final third. She is one of those young talents that every scout is excited to see against the best players in the country.
