A central midfielder, the senior was one of the best players on the field in the 2-1 victory over Seven Lakes that took them to the Bracket’s Championship Game. Benton scored Stratford’s first goal in the match in an Olimpico and was very active on the ball, demonstrating great vision and patience to move the ball around when their opponents were settled on defense and starting quick transition plays when she sensed an opportunity. The midfielder also appeared very well on the defensive side of the game, playing with good energy and making the most of her ability to read plays to anticipate passes and dispossess opponents.
