Jacobs appeared for the Sting Austin team that got two wins and one loss in the event. I got to watch her in a 3-2 loss to Richmond United on Monday, in which her team may not have gotten the result, but she still had a strong performance. Jacobs displayed great versatility, splitting her time between the midfield and right back, and delivered a great deal of intensity in both spots. When in the middle, she did a great job of supporting her team’s offense with good passes in the final third and by appearing in the penalty box to finish chances. She was also active with her high press and, in one of her attempts, she managed to win the ball in the attacking half and create a good goalscoring opportunity for Sting.

A very dynamic player, Jacobs started Monday’s match against United Futbol Academy 08 on the left side of Sting Austin 08’s backline. She was very solid on the defensive side of the game, using her quickness to intercept passes and her tackling ability to win balls. Jacobs was also very active when in possession, taking the ball to the end line with her dribbling ability and making crosses to the team’s forwards. She switched to a defensive midfield role later on and maintained the same level of intensity, covering a lot of ground and shielding the backline very well.
