Here are some of the Day 2 standouts from the ECNL U15 girls playoffs on July 9: [caption id="attachment_49894" align="alignright" width="225"] [player_tooltip player_id="19156" first="Ava" last="Paolini"][/caption]D [player_tooltip player_id="19156" first="Ava" last="Paolini"], Slammers HB KOGE 07 - A rangy center back who covers a lot of space in the defensive end. Her great pace allows her to cover the speediest of forwards and shut down the attack before it happens. She doesn’t get flustered under pressure and does very well playing it out of the back. Her stellar play put the Slammers into the U15 final by leading her defense and keepers [player_tooltip player_id="19309" first="Daphne" last="Nakfoor"] and [player_tooltip player_id="19596" first="Jordan" last="Perry"] to two clean sheet sheets Friday and Saturday. M [player_tooltip player_id="25311" first="Katie" last="Johnston"], Oklahoma Energy 07 - Great with the ball in tight spaces and plays quickly with the intention of distributing. Accurate passer from her midfield position and has great transition on change of possession. F/M [player_tooltip player_id="20018" first="Nicole" last="Kim"], MVLA 07 - Played center midfielder and looked comfortable on both the offensive and defensive ends. Very business-like attitude and approach on the pitch. Provided good movement off the ball and looked for space to get open for teammates to find. Good quick distributor of the ball and plays fast. [caption id="attachment_49891" align="alignright" width="225"] [player_tooltip player_id="25310" first="Helen" last="Olszewski"][/caption]F [player_tooltip player_id="25310" first="Helen" last="Olszewski"], Oklahoma Energy 07 - A fast forward who has the pace to get around outside backs on the dribble. Outstanding 1 v 1 skills and technical ability even at full speed. Created numerous chances from both sides of the pitch in the final third. K [player_tooltip player_id="27140" first="Olivia" last="Geller"], Solar FC 07 - Great communication with her back line and comfortable with the ball at her feet. Outstanding vertical and was able to punch away dangerous balls on numerous occasions. Absolutely fearless in her box and challenged attacking players with physical yet clean play. Probably the best keeper on the day. [caption id="attachment_49892" align="alignright" width="225"] [player_tooltip player_id="19178" first="Ayva" last="Jordan"][/caption]F [player_tooltip player_id="19178" first="Ayva" last="Jordan"], Slammers HB KOGE 07 - Led her team into the U15 final by scoring two goals in their 3-0 win over Oklahoma Energy in the semifinals. A natural finisher who has the technical ability to beat defenders in the final third. A goal scorer who can finish from the middle of the pitch or from attacking out wide. She moves effortlessly and has a great burst when needed. F/M [player_tooltip player_id="33318" first="Kaylee" last="Kim"], MVLA 07 - Provided some of the best corner kicks all day, knocking outswingers right on the six that were a handful for both the keeper and defense to handle. Great pace on the outside, was comfortable either cutting back inside or staying wide. M [player_tooltip player_id="26768" first="Hannah" last="Jordan"], Solar FC 07 - Seemed to be constantly around the ball at both ends of the pitch. Was always looking for space and great tactical recognition allowed her to transition both ways throughout the match. Scored in her team’s 4-1 victory over MVLA. [caption id="attachment_49893" align="alignright" width="225"] [player_tooltip player_id="19247" first="Cassidy" last="Doogan"][/caption]D [player_tooltip player_id="19247" first="Cassidy" last="Doogan"], Slammers HB KOGE 07 - A super aggressive and confident outside back. Played with passion and challenged every 50/50 ball like it was her last. Capable of making runs out the back and supporting the attack. Helped her team post two clean sheets over the weekend advancing while advancing to the final. D [player_tooltip player_id="27313" first="Trinity" last="Armstrong"], Solar FC 07 - Very solid stay-at-home center back. Controlled everything in the center of the pitch on the ground and in the air. Good pace and easily marked opposing forwards. Good distribution from the back both directly and indirectly.
