U.S. Soccer hosted a Talent Identification event at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California on Nov. 1 for the top 2008s in the Southern California region. This is the second event in the area for this group. Earlier this season, there was an event in San Diego for the same age group. There was some overlap for this identification event as well as some new faces.

There was a fairly even representation among clubs. San Diego Surf led the way with four players invited, LA Surf had three players invited to the event. A number of other clubs had two players listed on the initial roster, which is included below.

There was one 2009 invited to the event, Mia Corona from Legends FC, but the rest of the roster was players from the 2008 age group (mainly 2026s and a few 2027s). The early look at some of the top freshman in the region is an ideal scouting opportunity. Below is a breakdown of some of the players from the event.

Talent ID Center Roster - Carson, CA

[player_tooltip player_id='19625' first='Kai' last='Beary'], So Cal Blues; Kalea Black, Pateadores; McKenzie Brown, Del Mar Sharks; [player_tooltip player_id='146210' first='Elizabeth' last='Choi'], LA Surf; [player_tooltip player_id='146212' first='Adelyn' last='Clifton'], West Coast FC; Mia Corona, Legends; Aelo Curtis, Eagles Soccer Club; Isabella Fernandez, So Cal Blues; [player_tooltip player_id='62929' first='Sarine' last='Fuentes'], LA Surf; Emory Gonzalez, Del Mar Sharks; [player_tooltip player_id='263754' first='Mia' last='Harrison'], San Diego Surf; Audrey Heustis, Magnus FC; Jaelynn Hillenbrand, Legends FC; Lily Johnson, Murrieta Soccer Academy; Ashley Knee, City SC; Cheyanne Longwell, Albion SC; [player_tooltip player_id='62930' first='Presley' last='McGowan'], Murrieta Soccer Academy; Lauren Miller, Murrieta Soccer Academy; [player_tooltip player_id='19863' first='Mai'ana' last='Norita'], Rebels SC; Gemma Pappas, Beach FC; Genevieve Phung, City SC; Charlotte Rodriguez, LA Surf; Jaiden Rodriguez, San Diego Surf; [player_tooltip player_id='174361' first='Ava' last='Sivadat'], Pateadores; [player_tooltip player_id='58267' first='Mia' last='Villalpando'], San Diego Surf; [player_tooltip player_id='62868' first='Kinsley' last='Whitecavage'], Legends FC; Kaitlyn Wright, Eagles SC; Ava Ybarra, Beach FC
